THE FAMILY EXPERTS is a consolidated network of experts across select fields. We are Egypt’s go-to network of trusted experts, working for social change and dedicated to promoting the well-being of families in Egypt on a national scale. Since our establishment in 2018, we have been busy at work! Here are a few of our accomplishments:
In 2019, created Egypt’s Integrated National Parenting Toolkit & TOT manual, on which the National Positive Parenting Program was based and rolled out nationwide, in collaboration with UNICEF and the Ministry of Social Solidarity (MoSS).
Developed Egypt’s Digitized National Parenting Programme in collaboration with Unicef & MoSS: Learning Passport - Egypt
Developed and pretested an extra parenting module for Alternative Care Families
through a focus group of parents divided by age groups organised by MoSS.
Starting 2020, supported the National Positive Parenting Programme through face-to-face capacity building and ToT trainings to Unicef partners nationwide, including government partners such as MoSS, MoHP, NCW and NCCM, as well as Faith Based Organizations (FBOs) such as the Coptic Orthodox Church (BLESS), cascading the trainings to around 5,000 service providers and engaging with 300,000 households.

In 2022, developed a new Gender Transformative Parenting Toolkit, which includes new activities and modifications of activities in the original toolkit to implement the objectives of Gender Transformative Parenting from 0-18 years old.
Positive parenting advocacy in collaboration with UNICEF and MoSS, NCW as well as NCCM.
In 2023, created Egypt’s National Parenting Toolkit for Parents of Children with Special Needs in collaboration with UNICEF), and conducted trainings to social workers and parents throughout the country.
To date, the network continues to roll out The National Positive Parenting Programme (PPP) nationwide, with network members delivering and conducting countless capacity building trainings and ToT workshops to different service providers, including social workers, community-based schools’ teachers, health workers working in PHCs, nursery facilitators, university professors, and religious leaders from the Orthodox church throughout Greater Cairo, Alexandria, Upper Egypt & Delta governorates.
